Miniaturization has been a trend in electronic design for years. Being able to do more with less is vital for our sounding rocket platforms to keep the volume and mass as low as possible.
At T-minus we have the facilities to develop prototypes in-house. Our EDA and CAD software allow us to maximize integration of our circuit boards in mechanical parts and interface seemlessly with our vehicle. In our electronics workshop we have the ability to assemble and rework electronics which enables us to cycle fast through design iterations. The latest additions to our equipment are a hotplate and reworkstation, together with our stereomicroscope setup it is possible to apply fixes to the smallest components with the highest precision.
Our production facilities recently got upgraded with a solder paste applicator and a reflow oven drasticly shortening the time from concept to product.
